资源简介:
Ecological differentiation and assortative mating are considered key elements in the maintenance of recently evolved lineages in sympatry, but these factors have rarely been tested simultaneously in a well-studied system. Bactrocera tryoni and B. neohumeralis are well-studied sister species of tephritid fruit fly that have significant overlap in geographic range, host species and morphology with only a weak allochronic reproductive barrier constraining hybridization between the species. Genomic analyses demonstrated strong genetic differentiation between the species and evidence of strong assortative mating in sympatry.
