Spearman Rank-Order Correlation Heatmap of Prison Officer Career Guidance Needs Survey Responses

A Prison Officer Career Guidance Needs Survey was undertaken as part of the CCj4C Corrections Careers Erasmus+ KA3 Forward Looking Policy Project, funded by the European Union. The partnership consists of ministries of justice, prisons and adult education organisations from 6 European Member States and Turkey. As a precursor to this survey, the partership undertook an extensive literature and grey literature search, on prison and correctional officer/ public servant career guidance on a local, national and international level. The survey was developed collaboratively in the partnership based on this research. The aim of this survey was to hear directly from the service user (the prison officer) about their experience of career guidance and how the career development they receive impacts upon modern prison culture and more effective rehabilitation. The survey was delivered online via Google Forms and translated by native speakers. The survey was distributed in 5 countries: TR, IT, DE, RO and PT. There were 749 responses in total.
