Explanatory variables include female morph, mate status, mature male density (Mdens) and both interactions with female morph. Morph-by-status and morph-by-density interactions were never significant (all P>0.1). The numerator degrees of freedom is one in all cases, d.f. in the table refers to the denominator degrees of freedom. Significant explanatory variables are indicated in bold.
