Medicago truncatula roots infected with the oomycete Aphanomyces euteiches

The objective of the study was to evaluate the effect of the root pathogen Aphanomyces euteiches (oomycete, strain ATCC201684) on the legume model Medicago truncatula. Roots of a susceptible line (F83005-5) and a tolerant line (Jemalong cv A17) were inoculated (or not) with zoospores of the pathogen and samples collected at three time points. Overall design: A total of 36 RNA samples (infected or water treated roots) were paired-end sequenced, comprising 3 biological replicates for each of the three timepoints of the kinetic (1 day, 3 days, 9 days).
