SSR genotyping and phenotypic trait data for Chionanthus retusus germplasm resources

This dataset contains the supporting data for the manuscript “Genetic diversity and elite resources for ornamental traits in germplasm resource garden of Chionanthus retusus”. It includes: 1) SSR (Simple Sequence Repeat) genotyping matrix for 110 Chionanthus retusus and 18 Chionanthus virginicus using 19 polymorphic markers; 2) Phenotypic measurements of 13 ornamental traits for 40 selected accessions. These data underpin the analysis of population genetic structure, isolation-by-distance, and elite germplasm selection presented in the manuscript.
