Abundance and species composition of benthic foraminifera up to 24 cm in sediment depth were investigated. Cores were taken in August 2019 during a research cruise of R/V Oceania at four transect sampling stations in Hornsund Fjord, Svalbard. For sampling, a small gravity corer with a radius of 3.5 cm was used. After retrieval, the cores were sliced into 1-cm sections and later analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively.
