A total of 89 species of caddisflies (Trichoptera) were recorded during oursurvey of the Považský Inovec Mts. (Western Slovakia), a region that had previously beenalmost unknown in terms of caddisfly diversity. Most of the recorded species arecommon rheophilous taxa, typically associated with submontane brooks and the collinezone. Several faunistically important species were identified.
