RNA sequence of spinal cord/ microglia of spinal cord in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis mouse model of SOD1.G93A

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a devastating neurodegenerative disease with only two approved drugs with limited therapeutic effect, thus the development of safe and effective drugs is urgent. Here we showed alpha-lipoic acid (ALA), a highly blood-brain barrier penetrable small molecule, could attenuate disease progression of SOD1G93A mice. We used bulk RNA sequence of spinal cord of WT, SOD1, SOD1/ALA to seek potential drug target and used smart RNA sequence to confirm the change in microglia in spinal cord.
