The performance of the NITRAMMOX reactor fed with increasing nitrogen loading rates (NLR) was studied. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the stability of the deammonification reactor to operate up to 500 mg NH3-N L-1 (2.04 +- 0.20 g N L-1 d-1) without ammonia and nitrite inhibition, in a new concept of one-phase reactor. The reactor was feed with total ammonia nitrogen (TAN)-rich swine wastewater.
