Genotoxic stress-induced stem cell differentiation is a protective mechanism in response to cell death. Herein, LOC644656 was identified as a p53-induced lncRNA that accumulates in the nuclei of human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) following genotoxic stress-induced maldifferentiation. We performed multi-omics analyses and identified LOC644656 functions in hESCs and cancer cell lines.
