This dataset was generated in an in vitro systems toxicology study where Human organotypic buccal epithelium cultures were exposed at the air-liquid interface to cigarette smoke and aerosols of different formulations of electronic cigarettes, namely "Classic tobacco" (flavours, nicotine, humectants), "Base" (nicotine, humectants), and "Carrier" (humectants).
Cytotoxicity in the organotypic tissue due the treatments was assessed using the adenylate cyclase (AK) assay.
This dataset includes descriptive statistics at the group level.
