Vaginal and Rectal microbiome changes following administration of a multi-species antenatal probiotic: A randomized control trial

The goal of this study was to explore the impact of probiotic intervention on the vaginal and rectal microbiomes in pregnant individuals, with a particular focus on addressing potential racial disparities. Initial findings indicate a non-significant increase in Lactobacillus in the probiotics group suggesting potential benefits for perinatal outcomes.
