DAS data off the Cape Muroto in the Nankai Trough after the M7.6 Noto Peninsula earthquake
收藏资源简介:
Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) data (hdf5 data) with the Muroto Cable, southwest Japan, after the M7.6 Noto Peninsula earthquake (07:10 UTC, January 1, 2024). The period of DAS data is 7:00-24:00 on January 1. The DAS measurement is conducted by AP Sensing with a sensing length of ~120 km along the Muroto Cable. Gauge length is 78.4 m. The waveforms were stacked in successive 5 channels to downsample to 49-m spacing and decimated to 100 Hz sampling. The analysis of tremors which ocurred after the Noto Peninsula earthquake is described in a submitted paper. Zip files include DAS data in hdf5 format. The file name of zip files indicate yyyymmdd_hh. The filename of hdf5 DAS data show the start time (year-month-day_hour.minute.second) in UTC. The data length of each file is one minute (100 Hz x 60 s=6000 points). The values of matrices in hdf5 files are converted to differential phase by multiplying pi/32768. After integrating the differential phases, phases can be converted to strain based on equation (10) of SEAFOM (2018) (https://seafom.com/?mdocs-file=1270). The optical wavelength of DAS system is 1550 nm, the effective index of refraction in sensing fiber is 1.4682, the photo-elastic scaling factor is 0.78. channel_muroto.txt: DAS channel position information that are used for locating tremors. The first, second, third, fourth colums are channel number, longitude, latitude, elevation (m), respectively. tremor_list_2024.txt: Tremor list observed by DAS after the Noto Peninsula earthquake. The first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, sevnth, eighth colums are year, month, day, hour (UTC), minute, longitude, latitude, depth (km), respectively.
