The development of Micro-Mel and Mini-Mel, two dwarf lines derived from a backcross of a hybrid obtained from the cross between the white-fruited common eggplant, Solanum melongena, and its wild relative, S. anguivi, towards S. melongena, followed by several cycles of self-fertilization.
