A: JNL parameters obtained from fitting to experimental data at 180 mOsm shock in apical or basolateral compartments in polarized cells. The same value of kobs was considered for both compartments. Parameters obtained from the model fitting are expressed as the best value ± standard deviation. B: Parameters obtained from model fitting to experimental in apical or basolateral compartments in polarized cells. The model equations are the same shown in S1 Table, however, some parameters values were fitted again to experimental data from polarized cells. The parameters whose value has changed in comparison with the model of non-polarized cells are shown in this file. The rest of the parameters had the same value for non-polarized cells (shown in S1 Table). The KADPase and KNTPase (for eCTP) were considered 0 in the basolateral compartment. This does not mean that there is no ecto-ADPase or ecto-NTPase activity in the basolateral side but, they can be neglected in our experimental conditions. Parameters obtained from the model fitting are expressed as the best value ± standard deviation.
