Medicines and Children. Knowledge, Attitudes and Counselling Among Pharmacy Personnel, 1989

This survey is the third part of a larger project about medicine usage among children. The first two parts gathered data about prescription of medicine for children in the age 0-12 years in the whole country, and the parents experience and attitudes. The aim of the survey was to gather information about knowledge, attitudes and counselling with regard to children's medicine usage, especially in connection with fever. 60 pharmacists and 60 druggists were interviewed by telephone or face-to-face interviewing. The questions addressed the general level of knowledge about fever and temperature measurements among children and adults, and guidance for parents at pharmacies. Questions were also asked about ones own medicine usage.
