Metabolizable energy value of dietary fat implemented in broiler chicken diets

Apparent metabolizable energy (AME; kcal) value and metabolizable energy value corrected to zero nitrogen balance (AMEn; kcal) for experimental soy-maize diets with various dietary fat inclusion, i.e., 0, 30, 60, 90 g/kg of diet. Data were obtained during an in vivo experiment on broiler chickens on 14d, 28, and 35d (D). Birds were allotted to 4 dietary treatments (T) with 10 replications with 10 birds each. Birds had an ad libitum access to water and mash form diet. AME and AMEn were determined using the internal marker method (TiO2) and the adiabatic bomb calorimeter was used to obtain the energy content in feed and excreta.
