Global 1-km Observation-Constrained Design Flood Projections under SSP5-8.5

This dataset contains global 1-km resolution design flood projections (return periods: 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 years; unit: m³/s) generated using the Extreme Flood-Based Correction (EFBC) framework under the SSP5-8.5 scenario for 2051–2100. The EFBC framework anchors future projections to observation-based Regional Flood Frequency Analysis estimates while preserving CMIP6 climate change signals, covering 28.2 million river segments globally based on the MERIT Hydro network. Results are provided for 9 CMIP6 models: ACCESS-CM2, CanESM5, EC-Earth3, INM-CM5-0, IPSL-CM6A-LR, MIROC6, MPI-ESM1-2-HR, MRI-ESM2-0, and NorESM2-MM. This dataset is associated with the manuscript "High-resolution global flood projections constrained by observations reveal increasing extremes" submitted to Science Advances.
