资源简介:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic DMS and DMSP made by Gill Malin and oceanic ammonium made by Malcolm Woodward during the AMT12 research cruise in the Atlantic Ocean as part of the Atlantic Meridional Transect programme. The cruise began in Port Stanley on 12th May 2003 and ended in the UK on 17th June 2003 with a spatial coverage of +48N to +49S latitude and +13W to +49W longitude.
The data consists of:
-142 measurements of dissolved dimethylsulphoniopropionate (DMSP) per unit volume of the water column by Millipore prefiltration and gas chromatography;
-154 measurements of particulate dimethylsulphoniopropionate (DMSP) per unit volume of the water column by Millipore prefiltration and gas chromatography;
-169 measurements of the concentration of dimethylsulphide (DMS) per unit volume of the water column by filtration, purging, cryogenic trapping and gas chromatography;
-535 measurements of the concentration of ammonium (NH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by colorimetric autoanalysis; and
-66 measurements of the concentration of ammonium (NH4) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by nanomolar ammonium system after Jones (1991).
