The purpose of this research is to examine the evolution and scope of scientific production on process management in public educational institutions. A bibliometric methodology is used to analyze documents collected from the Scopus database in the period from 2000 to 2023. This analysis is performed with tools such as VOSviewer and Bibliometrix, allowing the visualization of trends, collaborations and dominant research areas. The results reveal a steady increase in scientific production, with a multidisciplinary approach covering topics such as teaching methodologies, administrative management, and the application of emerging technologies. Global collaboration and high-quality research are observed, although recent publications predominate, indicating opportunities for longitudinal studies. The main conclusion is that, although there are significant advances in the understanding and application of process management in public educational institutions, there are still challenges to be addressed. The need for research located in developing countries and for the ethical integration of emerging technologies in educational processes is highlighted. In addition, the importance of broadening the research approach to issues such as adaptation to local contexts and continuous improvement of educational quality is suggested.
