Numerical Solutions for Shear-driven diffusive remixing of segregated granular materials

Hello, This is the data for the article 'Shear-driven diffusive remixing of segregated granular materials' of H.N. Ulloa and T. Trewhela submitted for the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society A theme issue entitled "Sand, silos and asteroids: clustering challenges in granular materials research". The data shared involves the numerical solutions for unstable and stable initial conditions of a 1D segregation problem. The solutions are the result of solving the convection-segregation diffusion equation described in the article, with the parameters there detailed. Two folders are included in the file: Unstable and Stable, one folder per initial condition. In each folder txt files for the time (t_Rd.txt) and small particle concentration (u_Rd.txt) are included. Each file corresponds to a solution case for a particular size ratio R_d evaluated. In the Unstable case, 22 solutions with R_d ranging from 1.1 to 3.2 are included. In the Stable case, 40 solutions with R_d ranging from 1.1 to 5.0 are included. In all cases, a mesh of 500 elements in z were used and for time, the solver determined the timestep to ensure convergence. Please contact [e-mail] in case of doubt or questions.
