nxrB gene sequencing of complete ammonia oxidizers

Complete ammonia oxidizers in a riparian ecosystem: Four sampling sites were set up along a section of the riparian zone from waterward (Site A) to landward (Sites B, C, and D) . Site A comprised the riparian interface sediment located 1 m waterward from the water-soil transition, while Site B was on the opposite side. Site C was located at the riparian fringe soil, 3 m landwards, while Site D was the riparian central soil, located 6 m landwards from the water-soil transition point.The nxrB gene (~440 bp) was amplified by PCR using the primers nxrB169f and nxrB638rusing a HiSeq Rapid Cluster Kit on an Illumina Hiseq 2500 platform (Illumina, San Diego, CA, USA)
