A sawmill (8) includes a four-stroke internal combustion engine (30) having an output shaft (36) for driving a sawblade (29) and the output shaft has a longitudinal axis. The engine (30) is mounted on the sawmill (8) for rotation between a first operative position with the longitudinal axis of the output shaft (36) extending at a first angle， and a second operative position with the longitudinal axis of the output shaft (36) extending at a second angle transversely to the first angle. The engine (30) has fuel injection (194) to facilitate operation in the first and second operative positions and a lubrication system incorporating a wet sump (37a， 37b). An oil pick up (40) for the lubrication system is disposed to pick up oil from the wet sump (37a， 37b) at both the first and second operative positions.
