Epidemiology in Pediatric Diarrhea

The increasing prevalence of antimicrobial resistance infections in children is becoming a growing global concern. The results showed elevated carriage of tigecycline- and carbapenem-resistant strains. Phylogenetic analysis showed that all isolates carried multidrug-resistance (MDR) genotypes with a progressive concentration of plasmid types. This study provides an important basis for the rational use of antimicrobials in the pediatric population, helps to slow down the spread of antimicrobial resistance Enterobacteriaceae in children, and supports the prevention and control strategy of the global antimicrobial resistance crisis.
