Transcriptome profiling of seeds of Bixa orellana

Bixa orellana is a natural dye yielding tree known for producing bioactive compound bixin, which have various application in pharmaceutical and food industries. So this study aimed at transcriptome sequencing of bixa seeds which helps in unraveling the candidate genes involved in the biosynthesis of bixin which aids in the production and optimization.
