资源简介:
This dataset is related to the paper entitled 'Linking Phytoseiidae mite communities to the traits of inter-row plant species in an agroecological vineyard' submitted to Journal of Applied Entomology The dataset describes plant and floral traits as well as Phytoseiidae functional and taxonomic diversity present of eleven plant species found in vineyard inter-rows in the south of France (Occitanie region) on a two years experiment in an experimental plot (Domaine du Chapitre, 43°31;50.46"N 3°52;05.95"E). Three different management systems, following a plant diversification gradient particularly in the inter-rows, were evaluated in the plot. (1) A total of 6 plant traits were evaluated on 11 plant species : Trichome density on vein and blade of leaves, trichome type, Specific Leaf Area (SLA) and Leaf Dry Matter Content (LDMC) of leaves and number of pollen grain produced per floral unit. This consist of 12 replicates per plant per year, with two years sampled. However, pollen grain number and trichomes density were evaluated only once over the two years per plant species due to technical constraints. (2) Phytoseiidae and associated arthropods abundance and richness on the same 11 plant species, with two period of sampling, in the begginning of June 2023 and 2024. 18 replicates per plant species and per year were done in the experimental plot. (3) Phytoseiidae body size and cheliceral size were evaluated with first, the mean bodysize (length and width) and length of fixed and mobile digit of the chelicerae retrieved in the litterature and secondly, focusing only on the main Phytoseiidae species found in our experiment Typhlodromus (Anthoseius) recki, the length and with of bodysize measure on individual retrieved in our plot.
