Users may select a county from the category selector or click anywhere in the map to view the top 3 prevalent Hispanic groups for each Florida county. In demography, prevalence ranking is a method used to measure and illustrate racial and ethnic diversity in a population through tables and maps. This method identifies the largest, second largest, and third-largest racial or ethnic groups within a specific area. The U.S. Census Bureau employs Prevalence Ranking/Mapping to highlight the most common racial and ethnic groups in an area.
