The reported isotope ratios of the 2 studied ferromanganese crusts from the North Pacific subtropical gyre have been converted to activity ratios. The U-series data indicate stable growth rates of both samples and a rather small variability of their initial (230Th/232Th) in the last ~0.7 Myr.
