Macro-invertebrates, water quality and water and sediment contaminnants in ponds on the Saclay Plateau (France)

The data relate to the monitoring of 12 ponds located on the Saclay plateau (78, 91, France) during 2 sessions (June and September) in 2016 and 2017 with macroinvertebrate sampling, measurements of water quality, and contaminant concentrations in water and sediment. The ponds studied are in a peri-urban environment with, in varying proportions, natural wooded areas, agricultural areas and urbanized areas. Water quality data include pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, turbidity, suspended solids, chemical oxygen demand, dissolved organic carbon, total phosphorus, total nitrogen, orthophosphate, ammonium, total herbicide and insecticide concentrations. Sediment data: total concentration of herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, pharmaceuticals and PAHs.
