Differential gene expression resistant and susceptible banana accessions in response to BBTV infection

With the availability of validated wild BBTV-resistant Musa balbisiana genotypes at the Institute of Plant Breeding, UP Los Banos coupled with the identification of host-factor and resistance genes through transcriptomics via RNA-seq, clues on the mechanism of resistance can be revealed.
