Digital Archive from an Archaeological Watching Brief at Roman Way, Billericay, Essex, July to September 2018

This collection comprises image, text, spreadsheet and CAD data from an Archaeological Watching Brief from 1 Roman Way, Billericay, Essex. The work was undertaken by Archaeology South-East between July and September 2018. The watching brief was carried in advance of residential development. Roman remains consisting of four ditches and a pit were identified. These relate to a settlement known in the vicinity of Billericay School. At the end of the Roman period the area is likely to have reverted to agricultural use and remained so into the 20th century.
