Location data of European hares from Langli island

During September 1990, 3 female and 3 male European hares (Lepus europaeus) were caught by driving them into nets. Each hare was then equipped with a TXT-1Sm necklace-mounted radio transmitter of 50 grams, weighing about one percent of the hare’s body weight (4000 - 4700 g). Radio-collared hares were located five to ten days a month from September 1990 to April 1991 by homing in on the signal until we could observe the hare from a distance (10 to 100 m), recording their position on a paper map. A maximum of three radio fixes per day was obtained and no two fixes were closer than 3 hours apart.This dataset is the digitized version of these hare locations.
