Simulated heat waves aggravate the immune response to sublethal acetamiprid exposure in the honey bee (Apis mellifera)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the experimental raw data and statistical analyses supporting the manuscript titled "Simulated heat waves aggravate the immune response to sublethal acetamiprid exposure in the honey bee (Apis mellifera)". Study Overview: The research investigates the combined effects of simulated heat waves (42°C for two hours over three consecutive days) and chronic sublethal exposure to the neonicotinoid acetamiprid (2 mg/L) on honey bee immunity and physiology. The study assesses both baseline physiological states and the bees' capacity to mount an active immune defense following a mechanical challenge. Dataset Contents: The repository includes fully curated and annotated datasets divided into two main components: 1. Raw Data: Contains the curated raw measurements across all experimental groups (Control, Heat Stress, Heat Stress + Acetamiprid, and Immunized sub-groups). The data cover multiple biomarkers, including: Antimicrobial peptide (AMP) gene expression and hemolymph relative concentrations (abaecin, apidaecin, defensin-1, hymenoptaecin). Gene expression of heat shock proteins (hsp90, hsp83, hsp70-ab) and heat shock factor (hsf). Gene expression of oxidative stress markers Total hemocyte counts and total hemolymph protein concentrations. Note: A comprehensive 'ReadMe' legend is included within the file to define all variables and units. 2. Statistical Analysis: Contains publication-ready summary tables of all statistical tests performed in the study. This includes Two-Way ANOVA results (F-values, degrees of freedom, p-values, effect sizes) and detailed post-hoc comparisons.
