资源简介:

Derived dataset. This deposit extends the audit "Problematic images in vendor antibody verification data" (Richardson & David, 2026; DOI 10.5281/zenodo.22090940; CC-BY-4.0; snapshot 260825) with a pixel-level comparison of its 19,033 image files. Findings. (1) Byte-identical files: 1,956 of 19,033 files have at least one exact duplicate (identical MD5); 568 groups, of which 18 span different vendors. (2) Near-identical cross-vendor pairs (new here): 86 pairs used by different vendors that are not byte-identical but match after rescaling/re-encoding; dHash-identical at 64 bits, confirmed at 96x96 (MSE ≤ 1.34 on a 0-255 scale; median 0.61; 83 of 86 ≤ 1.0). Several pairs involve products sold under different clone identifiers. Example: Bioss bsm-54275R (clone 12C5) and Thermo Fisher MA5-41254 (clone JB52-39) are illustrated with the same 890x732 PCK2 blot (full-resolution MSE 0.017). (3) Full-resolution checks: 25 equal-dimension pairs, MSE 0.017-29.6 (median 1.15); spot checks show visually identical figures, the spread consistent with re-saving/re-encoding. Files. README.md; dh_verified_pairs.csv (the 86 pairs with per-pair MSE and vendor/catalogue metadata); file_md5_manifest.csv (MD5 for all 19,033 snapshot files); verify_pairs.py (re-checks the 96x96 screen; Pillow + NumPy). Limitations. Counts are a lower bound for this snapshot; re-encoding can hide near-duplicates and downscaling can mask small differences. Duplicate imagery does not by itself show intent or misconduct. Vendor pages change; verify against current catalogues. Full-resolution coverage is partial (25 of 86 pairs). Provenance.
