Cough and sputum clearance capacity, cough peak flow, and general clinical data in patients with cervical spinal cord injury

Retrospective collection of 198 patients with traumatic cervical spinal cord injury who received standardized management at the Trauma Center of Guizhou Medical University Affiliated Hospital from January 2021 to June 2025. The collected data includes demographic information (age, gender), smoking history, cough peak flow velocity, cough intensity, sputum discharge, nerve damage level, and American Spinal Injury Association Injury Scale (ASIA) rating. CPF value is defined as the highest result of three consecutive measurements (L/min), instrument: CONTEC ® Handheld spirometer (SP70B) and adult bag valve mask (BVM) resuscitation mask.
