This dataset contains data collected during laboratory-scale experiments where the capacity of assemblies comprising microbial communities (in a METLand system) and clams (Asian clam, Corbicula fluminea) or bivalve shells to efficiently remove contaminants from wastewater was assessed. The dataset comprises: raw and minimally processed data concerning the quantifications of concentrations of several micropollutants in water and minimally processed data concerning the ecotoxicological assessment made in parallel to the micropollutants removal assessment; extended metadata information concerning experimental conditions, analytic details and data processing procedures. This dataset was produced within the scope of Task 2.1 in work package 2 of the EU project NYMPHE, aiming at testing the combination of biologics at the laboratory scale; with the support of ecotoxicological assessment, which is under the scope of Task 4.2 in WP4. Within the project, the data provides information for understanding the potential of sequential assemblies of microbial and animal biologics to treat wastewater, meeting the objectives of WP2 and feeding the rational establishment of upscaled experiments in WP4. Outside the project, the dataset can be useful for future research where bioremediation strategies using assemblies of bioremediation agents is focused, as background information.
