This dataset corresponds to the Chrysochoos and Arnould (2022) paper (available at https://hal.archives-ouvertes.fr/hal-03697346/) on the measurements of small temperature variations of samples undergoing cyclic loadings during mechanical spectrometry (DMTA) tests. Thermal and mechanical data were used to quantify the viscous dissipated and the thermoelastic coupling energies that can be both associated with the hysteretic stress-strain response of polymers.
This set contains all fully corrected DMTA measurements (storage and loss moduli as a function of the loading frequency and temperature set point of the environmental chamber, csv files) for two polymers (Polystyrene and Polyamide 6.6) together with the average temperature variation of the sample measured by quantitative infrared camera along each test (one text file per testing conditions and polymer). The data also contains Matlab program that allows for the simulation of the thermomechanical response of a Zener-type rheological model.
