Anticipated evolution of sustainable security practice adoption worldwide 2023

During a 2023 survey, when asked about the future adoption of green and low carbon practices in the security industry, nearly 23 percent of respondents among physical security professionals worldwide believed that manufacturers would increasingly use green practices to add value or differentiate themselves. Stricter government regulations to promote sustainability and adoption of green solutions as well as advancements in technology making greener products more accessible were two other anticipated trends, both mentioned by around 22 percent of respondents. Overall, nearly 10 percent of respondents claimed that carbon footprint data would become mandatory in the near future.
