THE IMPACT OF POST-ANTIBIOTIC MICROBIOTA RECOVERY ON REPRODUCTIVE FUNCTION
收藏资源简介:
Widespread use of antibiotic medications can disrupt the structural and functional balance of the gut microbiota. In the post-antibiotic period, incomplete and unstable recovery of the microbiota may negatively affect various physiological systems of the body, including reproductive function. This thesis analyzes the impact of post-antibiotic microbiota recovery on reproductive health based on contemporary scientific sources. Studies indicate that microbiota dysbiosis can influence the hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal axis through alterations in estrogen metabolism, immune responses, and metabolic processes, potentially leading to menstrual irregularities, impaired ovulatory processes, and an increased risk of infertility. Furthermore, probiotic and prebiotic approaches aimed at restoring microbiota balance are emphasized as important supportive strategies for maintaining reproductive function.
