The microbead counts from each release constituted an average of 2 (Grand River) or 3 microbead color trials (Conestogo and Grand rivers) released within the same 10-min period (Farrow et al. 2025a). Individual trials involved the release of approximately 30,000 × ~250 µm diameter pigmented alginate microbeads (Farrow et al. 2025a).
