资源简介:
The first 101 pages follow the printed setting-out of columns and show the town, licensee, class of hospital, year, the number of births (male and female), deaths (male and female), cases of septicaemia and other notifiable diseases. The hospitals are arranged alphabetically. Births, deaths, and cases of disease or septicaemia are indicated by numbers evidently added as each notification was received. The fact that a form under section 12 of the Private Hospitals Act, 1908 (notification of births, deaths etc., to District Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages) was found in the volume indicates that the Registrar forwarded all such forms to the Board. The period covered by this first section is 1921-22. Pages 104-113 are a record of the number of cases of the following diseases in private hospitals during the years 1927 and 1928: septicaemia, diphtheria, scarlet fever and erysipelas. No indication is given as to whether the illness was fatal, the record showing only the town, licensee, the class of hospital and the date (presumably of notification). The pages of the first section are tied together with ribbon in order to allow easy turning up of the second but no indication is given as to the reason for discontinuing either record. A note at the end of the second section "Noted on card JC 30/7/28" may mean that the records were continued on cards. 1921-22, 1927-28 (5/5864). 1 vol. Note:This description is extracted from Concise Guide to the State Archives of New South Wales, 3rd Edition 2000.
