Air Temperature and Precipitation at Pensacola Beach 2010-2011

These data were compiled from weather data that were published by the National Weather Service on the internet at https://www.weather.gov for the Pensacola Beach airport station. Temperature and moisture are major controls for microbial activities and thus for the degradation of buried oil in Pensacola Beach. Air temperature and precipitation largely control temperature and moisture in the dry beach. Air temperature and precipitation data were collected at Pensacola Beach from June 2010 to July 2011.
