Coal croplines in the Powder River Basin

This data layer provides a spatial data input parameter for both groundwater and surface water modeling associated with Wyoming's Cumulative Hydrologic Impact Assessment for coal mining activities in the Powder River Coal Region. Coal croplines found in the Powder River Basin, 1:24000 scale. Coal cropline is the exposed coal seam due to erosion and tectonics. Each linear feature is attributed with reference to the name of the coal seam that is exposed. The data were originally produced by digitizing photointerpreted coal cropline features off of 1:24,000 USGS quadrangles.
