This study explored the gene expression patterns of a pyrazinamide-resistant clinical strain of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, an induced M. tuberculosis H37Rv strain and a control strain of H37Rv (drug free condition), uncovering variations in the transcriptional profiles of pyrazinamide-resistant M. tuberculosis strains based on the presence or absence of pncA mutations, as determined by RNA sequencing (RNA-seq). These insights into differential gene expression associated with pyrazinamide resistance could enhance our understanding of resistance mechanisms and inform more effective clinical strategies.
