AlphaFold structural models of Plasmodium falciparum gametocyte membrane protein complexes

This dataset contains AlphaFold structural models of Plasmodium falciparum gametocyte membrane protein complexes generated for the study “Deciphering membrane protein complexes in Plasmodium falciparum gametocytes via integrative structural systems biology”. The dataset includes predicted structures for selected binary and multi-subunit complexes identified by crosslinking mass spectrometry (XL-MS) of the gametocyte membrane proteome. Models were generated using AlphaFold2 (AF2), AlphaFold3 (AF3), and AF3x (AlphaFold3 with crosslink-derived restraints). For each prediction, the dataset provides: Structural coordinates in mmCIF format (.cif) Predicted Aligned Error (PAE) plots (.png) UCSF ChimeraX session files with crosslink visualizations (.cxs) The models cover host–pathogen (human–Plasmodium) and pathogen–pathogen protein complexes distributed among cellular compartments including the infected erythrocyte membrane, parasitophorous vacuolar membrane, parasite plasma membrane, inner membrane complex, endoplasmic reticulum, and mitochondria.
