Siemann et al VIAME scallops

Automated scallop detectors and benthic habitat classifiers in the computer vision platform Video and Image Analytics for Marine Environments (VIAME) were used to generate accurate scallop plus habitat datasets for large numbers of images from Habitat Mapping Camera (HabCam) surveys of scallop grounds. Generalized additive mixed models were developed using the VIAME output to assess how benthic habitat influences sea scallop distributions and age-specific swimming behavior. This dataset includes data tables generated using HabCam imagery and VIAME plus R code used for analysis.
