Spatio-Temporal Stresses during High-Speed Elliptical Droplet Impact on Rigid Walls
收藏资源简介:
This dataset is intended to accompany the manuscript "Spatio-Temporal Stress Evolution during High-Speed Elliptical Droplet Impact on Rigid Walls" by Nambiar, V. R., Waele D. W., Degroote, J., & Fauconnier, D. In each simulated case, the pressure, shear stress and liquid volume fraction (named alpha) predicted at the wall are extracted at each solution time step (2e-10 seconds). The data folders are structured as follows: vXX- Spherical droplet impact with eleven different velocities (varying from 50m/s to 150m/s in steps of 10) were simulated with a constant droplet radius (1mm). The folder are named as vXX, where XX is the impact velocity. rXX- Spherical droplet impact with different radii (varying from 0.1mm to 2.5mm) were simulated with a constant impXXt velocity (100m/s). The folder are named as rXX, where XX is the droplet radius. A preceeding zero denotes a decimal value, i.e. 02 is equivalent to 0.2. ARxx- Elliptical Droplet impact with different aix ratios were smulated with a constant impact speed of 100 m/s. Droplet volume is always equal to that of 1mm radius spherical droplet. The folder are named as ARXX, where XX is the axis ratio. A preceeding zero denotes a decimal value, i.e. 08 is equivalent to 0.8. A python file (plot_data.py) containing sample code to load the data and plot the stresses has aslo been included.
