Dyeability of Cotton Fabrics with Peristrophe Roxburghiana Leaf through Blending with Other Natural Pigments

The dataset presents UV–vis absorption spectra of pure PR extract and PR extract in the presence of cotton fabric, CuSO₄, and their combination. The results indicate noticeable changes in absorbance intensity and spectral profiles after interaction with fabric and mordant. In particular, the PR extract combined with both cotton fabric and CuSO₄ shows the highest absorbance, suggesting enhanced dye uptake or complex formation. These spectral shifts imply strong interactions between the pigment molecules, metal ions, and textile fibers, which may improve color depth and stability. Overall, the data support the effectiveness of mordanting in improving dye–fiber affinity and optical performance.
