Growth response of twelve Australian rainforest tree species to warming.

Here, we tested how growth rates differed in response to increased growth temperature and +3.5°, +7° and +10.5°C warming in seedlings of tropical, subtropical and temperate rainforest trees, using 12 species ( 4 in each group). We examined how changes in biomass allocation, leaf area, and photosynthetic capacity linked to the capacity of these species to maintain their growth rates under warmer temperatures.
