EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) Data Package
This dataset provides comprehensive information on the European Union Emissions Trading System (EU ETS), compiled from the EU Transaction Log (EUTL) and related public sources. It covers installations regulated under the EU ETS, including their compliance records (verified emissions, allocations, surrendered allowances), registry accounts and account holders, unit-level transactions, and CDM/JI offset projects. Complementary tables provide geocoded installation coordinates, NACE economic activity codes derived from the EU carbon leakage lists, and EUA primary auction prices and volumes from the European Energy Exchange (EEX).
The data are published as a Frictionless Data Package containing interlinked CSV tables with a full schema descriptor. All tables are sourced from publicly available data; the underlying records remain the property of their respective providers (European Commission, EEX, Eurostat) and are subject to those providers' reuse terms. The CC-BY-4.0 license covers the compilation, structuring, and transformations contributed by the authors.
